myTukar Raises the Bar for Quality in Used Car Market with Nation’s First ISO 9001:2015 Certification

myTukar’s ISO 9001:2015 certification is part of a continuous effort to ensure the highest levels of quality, trust and transparency throughout all stages of car trading to achieve customer satisfaction.

Kuala Lumpur, 4 December 2020 – myTukar Sdn Bhd (or the Company), Malaysia’s fastest growing online used car trading platform announced today that the Company is the first within the used car market in Malaysia to be awarded ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Quality Management Systems. The certification is part of myTukar’s continuous effort in ensuring the highest levels of quality, trust and transparency throughout all stages of car trading on the innovative technology-enabled platform, to complement its ongoing hyper-growth expansion.

ISO 9001:2015 is an international Quality Management Systems (QMS) standard developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization. The standard is based on several quality management principles, including an outlined process-based method, strong customer focus, and involvement of upper-level company leadership. Organizations worldwide use the standard to demonstrate the ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and regulatory requirements.

myTukar’s ISO 9001:2015 certificate was issued by SIRIM QAS International Sdn. Bhd. The scope of myTukar’s certification includes provision of used car vehicle inspection via online bidding platform, evaluation, transaction and trading of used cars at myTukar’s Headquarters and its Glenmarie branch. The ISO certification process for myTukar began in February 2020 and approval was officially notified in November 2020. Annual audits are required for a company to retain its certification.

As an ISO 9001:2015 certified body, myTukar has on a global arena, proven its Quality Control procedures and practices in the following areas:
•    Create clear responsibility and authority for compliance
•    Ensure the quality of car trading before surrendering to customers
•    Identify non-compliance with quality
•    For timely corrective actions, ensure that corrective actions are properly implemented and documented
•    Maintain procedures to ensure quality requirements are addressed at all levels of organization of the field, including suppliers
•    Ongoing improvement of myTukar ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System
