COE bidding schedule and vehicle quotas<\/h2>\r\nCOEs are released through open bidding exercises held twice a month. Each exercise starts at 12pm on the first and third Monday and lasts three working days, ending at 4pm on Wednesday (unless interrupted by a public holiday).\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nBefore each exercise, LTA announces the vehicle quota\u2014the number of COEs available per category\u2014based on deregistrations, allowable growth, and other adjustments under the VQS.<\/span>\r\n

How to submit your COE bid<\/b><\/h2>\r\nBidders can place COE bids via:<\/span>\r\n

  1. ATMs<\/b> (for individual bidders)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t
  2. Internet banking<\/b> (for corporate account holders)<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nEach bidder must have sufficient funds to cover the bid deposit and bank administration fee (typically $2\u2013$10). The standard bid deposit is <\/span>$10,000<\/b> for Categories A, B, C, and E. Category D deposit is currently <\/span>$1,500.<\/b>\r\n

    How COE bidding works<\/h2>\r\nWhen submitting a bid, you specify a <\/span>reserve price<\/b>\u2014the maximum you\u2019re willing to pay. The system starts at $1 and automatically increases in $1 increments until it reaches your reserve price or the number of bids at or above the current price equals the quota.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe <\/span>current COE price (CCP)<\/b> is always the highest unsuccessful bid plus $1. Bidders whose reserve prices meet or exceed the final CCP secure a COE and all pay the same Quota Premium, which is the CCP at exercise close.<\/span>\r\n
