Each exercise starts at 12pm on the first and third Monday and lasts three working days, ending at 4pm on Wednesday (unless interrupted by a public holiday).\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Before each exercise, LTA announces the vehicle quota\u2014the number of COEs available per category\u2014based on deregistrations, allowable growth, and other adjustments under the VQS.<\/span>\r\n<h2><b>How to submit your COE bid<\/b><\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bidders can place COE bids via:<\/span>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>ATMs<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (for individual bidders)<\/span><\/li>\r\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Internet banking<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (for corporate account holders)<\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Each bidder must have sufficient funds to cover the bid deposit and bank administration fee (typically $2\u2013$10). The standard bid deposit is <\/span><b>$10,000<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> for Categories A, B, C, and E. Category D deposit is currently <\/span><b>$1,500.<\/b>\r\n<h2>How COE bidding works<\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When submitting a bid, you specify a <\/span><b>reserve price<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2014the maximum you\u2019re willing to pay. The system starts at $1 and automatically increases in $1 increments until it reaches your reserve price or the number of bids at or above the current price equals the quota.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <\/span><b>current COE price (CCP)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is always the highest unsuccessful bid plus $1. Keep this code confidential\u2014it\u2019s tied to your NRIC\/FIN or corporate ID.<\/span>\r\n<h2>Prevailing quota premium (PQP) and COE renewal<\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After 10 years, you can either deregister your vehicle or <\/span><b>renew your COE<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> by paying the <\/span><b>prevailing quota premium (PQP)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. The PQP is the moving average of Quota Premiums over the last three months (excluding months with no bidding) and varies monthly.
