Starting <\/span>22 September 2025<\/b>, clearing immigration at Johor\u2019s land checkpoints will get faster and more convenient with the introduction of <\/span>QR code clearance<\/b> under Malaysia\u2019s new <\/span>National Integrated Immigration System (NIISe)<\/b>.<\/span>\r\n\r\nHere\u2019s what you need to know before your next drive into Malaysia.<\/span>\r\n

What is QR code immigration clearance?<\/b><\/h2>\r\nInstead of presenting your passport at the booth, travellers can now generate a <\/span>QR code via the MyNIISe mobile app<\/b>. This QR code is scanned by immigration officers to complete clearance.<\/span>\r\n\r\nThe best part? If you\u2019re travelling in a group by car, <\/span>one QR code can be generated for the entire group<\/b>, making the process quicker and reducing congestion at the checkpoints.<\/span>\r\n

Who is able to use this new system?<\/b><\/h2>\r\nQR code immigration for non-citizens, with foreigners from 63 countries and territories able to use the NIISe system.\u00a0<\/span>\r\n\r\nThese also include travellers from <\/span>China<\/b>, <\/span>US<\/b>, <\/span>Japan <\/b>and <\/span>Australia <\/b>among others.<\/span>\r\n
