\r\n\r\nSingaporeans are strongly advised to commute via\u00a0public transport and plan upcoming journeys in advance\u00a0as the return of the 2016 Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Grand Prix\u00a0prompts road closures for six days<\/strong>.\r\n\r\nThe Land Transport Authority (LTA) issued the advice in anticipation of the auto racing event that will hit the road 16-18 September 2016<\/strong>.\r\n\r\n\u201cAffected roads will be closed from 12.01am, 14 September (Wednesday)<\/strong> to facilitate the set-up of race infrastructure, and will reopen progressively when the race is completed with all roads fully accessible by 5.30am, 20 September (Tuesday)<\/strong>.\r\n\r\nRoads will reopen early after the race while taxis are allowed entry to the Marina Centre area at all times except during races.
